The Western Forest Economists (WFE) is a non-profit group that welcomes membership from any interested party. For the last 50 years, we have meet each Spring for a three-day conference that focuses on forest economics. The conference is a great opportunity to discuss current research, issues, and trends. The WFE’s informal meeting format encourages discussion and interchange.
June 2-4, 2019
Best Western Plus, Hood River, OR
The annual WFE meetings attract economists from industry, government agencies and universities. We are especially interested in encouraging students to participate. We are looking forward to our 2019 meeting, held this year in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn. The annual WFE meeting brings together scholars and professionals to discuss topics related to forests and natural resources in the west. The conference has typically included a mix of research presentations, perspectives from both private and public sector participants and, most importantly, treasured opportunities to network with likeminded professional and scholarly colleagues.
